10 Mar Best 4th In The North Special Announcement
The Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership (TMSP) in coordination with the Town of Ticonderoga wishes to inform the community that, after many years of commitment and dedication, the all-volunteer Best 4th in the North Committee Chair and several committee members have made the difficult decision to resign from their roles.
After much reflection, the volunteer committee has decided that it is time to step down. While they remain deeply committed to the TMSP mission and the community, the demands of sustained service have understandably led to exhaustion, and they plan to spend the 4th of July with their families.
TMSP is profoundly grateful for their dedication, hard work, commitment, and the countless hours they have contributed for decades. Their efforts have made a meaningful and lasting impact.
For many years, both the committee and TMSP have been honored to serve as stewards of this treasured Ticonderoga community tradition. This event has brought neighbors, families, businesses, and visitors together in celebration of our nation’s independence and our community spirit. TMPS is deeply proud of the dedication, countless volunteer hours, and collaborative efforts that have made the event such a success year after year.
In addition, after thoughtful consideration, TMSP has also made the very difficult decision to no longer coordinate the annual Best 4th in the North celebration. As we move forward, we will focus on ensuring a smooth transition and building the next chapter with the same spirit of commitment and community they have exemplified. At this time, the TMSP believe it is appropriate for a new entity and a new group of volunteers to take the lead in guiding the future of this honored annual tradition to ensure the continued success of the celebration for years to come.
We also wish the future management entity and volunteers every success and will cooperate fully to help provide a smooth transition. While stepping back from a coordinating role, TMSP remains committed to supporting the new organization behind the scenes to the best of their ability.
TMSP would like to thank the community for its continued support and enthusiasm for this beloved celebration and look forward to seeing it continue under new leadership.
TMSP and their committees will be focusing on enhancing and expanding their other events and launching new Downtown Ticonderoga projects and initiatives.
