Ticonderoga Summer of Beautification 2022

The third Annual Summer of Beautification will take place in 2022. The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC), the Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership (TMSP), and the Town of Ticonderoga are pleased to announce there will be a Summer of Beautification again with a theme of “Show Your Community Pride.” A number of projects, clean-up activities, and events will take place throughout June, July, and August making Ticonderoga better and more beautiful. Community members, businesses, and organizations are encouraged to show their community pride as well as volunteer to help.

Low-Cost Electronics Recycling: Saturday, June 18th: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Recycle your old electronics equipment! Available in the public parking area at the end of Carnegie Place (near Black Watch Memorial Library/LaChute River Trail) in Downtown Ticonderoga. Good Point Recycling from Middlebury VT will be available from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Items Accepted: TVs ($15-$30), CRT TV Monitors ($15-$30), LCD Displays ($10-$20), computers & laptops ($5), printers & scanners ($5-$10), small copy machines ($20), other small devices ($5), other big devices ($10-$15), & Air Conditioners ($5). Additional items may be accepted. Speak to a Good Point Staff Member on June 18th for details and pricing. Good Point does not accept any large appliances such as washers, dryers, refrigerators, or stoves, as well as batteries, light bulbs, smoke detectors, or mercury containing items.

Main Street/Business Districts Clean-Up

Thursday, June 30th, Thursday, July 28th & Thursday, August 25th: 6:00 – 7:30 PM

Meet TACC & TMSP representatives at the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce office on Montcalm Street at 6 PM to help. You can also sign up ahead of time by contacting the Chamber. Bags, disposable gloves, and tools needed will be provided to volunteers. You can also bring your own work gloves.

Free Town of Ticonderoga Transfer Station Days (Residents Only)

The Town of Ticonderoga will open its Transfer Station to Ticonderoga Residents Only (proof of residency required) on August 16th, 17th, & 18th, 2022 from 8 AM – 3:30 PM. One trip per property/resident. These dates are for free disposal with the   exception of the following items which are not being accepted: hazardous waste, or items containing hazardous waste, tires, food waste, brush, C&D, shingles, white goods, and electronics. RESTRICTIONS MAY APPLY. See attendant for list of restricted items. Curbside pick-up for Senior’s 65 or older and qualified people with disabilities only, can contact Sal at the Ticonderoga Highway Department at (518) 585-7317 with a list of items to be picked up. Note that senior curbside pick-up must be arranged.

Hazardous Waste Day is August 13th from 8 AM – 1 PM at the Town of Ticonderoga Highway Garage. Tire Waste Day is June 16th from 2 – 5 PM for Essex County Residents at the Essex, NY Transfer Station. For more information contact the Town of Ticonderoga at 518-585-6677.
